About 5 p.m. Monday August 29, 2011 in Sebastopol, California, a citizen called the police, reporting a possible drunken driver on Bodega Avenue whose vehicle was swerving, passing over the double yellow lines and had nearly gone into a ditch.
Adrian Perez Lopez was then stopped by the police and was arrested after a showing of blood alcohol level of 0.15 (legal limit is 0.08).
Lopez has two prior DUIs, one in 2004 and one is 2008.
He has been cited for driving without a license four times, two during both of the DUI arrests and again in 2005 and 2009.
Lopez has never had a California license and never completed DUI school after a prior arrest. San Bernardino County issued a $50,000 warrant for his arrest based on the 2008 DUI there.
Lopez was taken into custody on DUI and license-related charges. He was being held at Sonoma County Jail on a federal immigration hold.
