Drunk Driver Rear-Ends Transit Bus Injuring Two People

Jeane Dexheimer, 51, was placed into custody on suspicion of drunken driving after she rear-ended a transit bus. The bus had 10 passengers on board; the driver and one other man were taken to a hospital after complaining of back pain.

Under California Vehicle Code section 23153 VC, you may be charged with a "DUI with injury" if you injured another person while driving under the influence. This charge could be prosecuted as either a misdemeanor or as a felony depending on the circumstances of the offense, and your criminal history. Your DUI history will especially play a big role.

If you or someone you know is facing a DUI with injury charge, you will need an experienced and qualified attorney on your side. The DUI attorneys at the Hedding Law firm have a combined 75 years of experience, and have been successful in many DUI cases. Call our office today to set up a free face-to-face consultation.
